Women's Ministries is an opportunity for our church to touch the lives of women by the power of Jesus Christ through outreach, Ministry Groups, and discipleship. Through this exciting ministry, Christian women are touching the world in varied and creative ways. They are reaching beyond personal interests and comfort zones to embrace women of all ages, races, professions, and social standings. They are building an environment for women to mentor women - a place where women can learn, practice biblical love, and feel God's love in a very real way.

First Assembly of God's women are on the move! Our women are involved in a wide scope of ministries that are an integral part of The Lord's Church in Shrewsbury. We cordially invite all women to become involved.

Women's Sunday School Class

 

Sunday mornings, the Women's Sunday School class is studying "Power Thoughts" by Joyce Meyers. This book is a follow-up to Battlefield of the Mind. It takes the groundbreaking principles that made that book so successful and goes a step further. While Battlefield of the Mind exposes the truth that we can chose what we think about & learn to think in line with God's word, Power Thoughts shows us how to accomplish this. Women's Ministries Day 2011 - February 27, 2011

 

Women's Ministry day is a special day at our church when we focus on ministry by and for the women in our congregation. The 2011 theme, "Quiet Influence" and the verse "Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in" (1Peter 3:4, The Message), speaks to each woman who wants to be an "influencer" in the lives of those around her. Carol Kent, author of the theme message, and the theme book, Becoming a Woman of Influence, says, "Our lives produce a type of fragrance that lingers with others, even after a brief encounter. What would happen if we decided to quietly influence lives on purpose? Not because we have to, but because we want to. Not because it's our Christian obligation, but because it brings great meaning and joy to our lives. Not because of duty, but because of love.
